Terms of Service

These terms govern use of the hosted Atrium service at chat.useatrium.xyz. They are short on purpose. By creating an account you agree to them.

The service

Atrium is open-source team chat software (MIT licensed). The hosted service is provided free of charge, as a convenience, on a best-effort basis. It may change, slow down, or stop at any time, with or without notice.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password safe.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.
One person, one identity — no impersonation of other people.

Acceptable use

No illegal content, harassment, spam, or malware distribution.
No automated scraping or bulk account creation outside the provided API and app platform.
No attempts to break, probe, or overload the service or other users' workspaces.
Apps and bots you build must respect other users' privacy and the platform's rate limits.

Your content

You keep all rights to what you post. You grant the service only the technical permission needed to store and transmit it to the people you share it with. Do not post content you don't have the right to share. Don't use the service for sensitive or regulated data (health, financial, government-classified) — it is not designed or certified for that.

Enforcement

Accounts or workspaces that break these terms may be suspended or deleted, with their content removed. There is no formal appeals process; this is a small private service, not a platform with a trust-and-safety department.

No warranty, limited liability

The service is provided as is and as available, without any warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any damages, data loss, or downtime arising from use of the service. The software itself is covered by its MIT license.

Changes

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

This service is operated as a private, non-commercial project. Contact is only possible via GitHub issues. No personal data of the operator is published on this site.
